Projection mapping and custom content transform a historic Washington, DC venue
For the American Dynamism Summit reception, Quince Imaging partnered with industry collaborators to transform the historic Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium into a fully immersive environment in the heart of Washington, DC.
The production featured 12 Panasonic high-brightness 35K projectors, creating a seamless, ceiling-wide projection canvas mapped precisely to the auditorium’s ornate architecture. Using LiDAR pre-production scans and Pixera media servers, the system enabled custom content to flow across the ceiling, turning the space into a dynamic visual experience while preserving the integrity of the historic venue.
From subtle ambient visuals to bold, high-impact moments, the projection mapping elevated the reception atmosphere; blending innovation with architecture to create a distinct sense of place. The result was an immersive environment that enhanced guest experience, reinforced the tone of the summit, and demonstrated how advanced projection systems can reimagine even the most iconic venues.
