Show System Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL – Hybrid

Compensation: 40 hours per week. $65,000-$75,000 with comprehensive benefits. Salary commensurate with experience.

Position Background: Quince Imaging’s Show System Engineer position supports multiple departments (Systems Integration, Operations, Creative/Innovation, and Sales) by providing pre-sales support, preparation, installation, and post-sales support for advanced video and IT systems. The engineer’s work includes in-person office work and work-from-home opportunities. The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-oriented. The schedule may be irregular at times, and the position may be physically demanding depending on the installation environment.

Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to:
• Engineer and program advanced show systems, including but not limited to theme park attractions, museum experiences, and experiential activations
• Travel to the site to commission, troubleshoot, and program installations as required
• Assist with pre-sales engineering for System integration projects
• Work with vendors and manufacturers of equipment to procure equipment and facilitate repairs
• Be the subject matter expert on current and future A/V, broadcast, and IP-based technologies
• Create CAD drawings of system wiring and rack elevations
• Work with the creative/innovation department on R&D for new projects
• Construct, configure, and maintain video equipment racks for show environments
• Provide technical support for installation projects
• Maintain an efficient, organized, clean, and safe working environment

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to ascend/descend ladders, work at height in lifts or catwalks, and position themselves/work in confined locations.
• Communicate effectively with a large group of people, including in loud or noisy environments.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to or more than 100 pounds with assistance. Specific Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to determine lens focus.

Education/ Experience/ Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in live event production, broadcast production, systems integration, or IT
• Knowledge of networking concepts and experience with network switches and firewalls
• Q-SYS Level 1 Required, advanced Q-SYS Certification preferred
• Knowledge of media systems such as Alcorn McBride, Pixera, Brightsign, Qlab, or comparable
• Knowledge of high-resolution video systems and audio signal processing
• Dante Level 1 Required, Dante Level 2+ preferred
• Experience with equipment rack construction and design
• Experience with Autodesk products and/or Vectorworks is preferred
• Industry IT or AV(AVIXA) certifications are preferred
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Able to troubleshoot issues efficiently and logically in a high-pressure environment
• Familiar with broadcast video production equipment (switchers, routers, cameras, etc)
• Knowledge or willingness to learn large format display technology (LED and projection)
• Cross-platform proficiency (Windows, Mac, Linux)
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts and equipment
• Ability to stay up to date with the latest technology and trends in the industry
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at any given time
• Exceptionally resourceful self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work variable hours when needed; able to travel and work nights and weekends when needed

Associate Creative Technologist

About the Role:

Quince Imaging is seeking an Associate Creative Technologist to join our Creative team in Sterling, VA. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who is curious, motivated, technically minded, and excited to grow at the intersection of creativity, technology, and live production. Candidates with more advanced experience are also encouraged to apply.

The Associate Creative Technologist will support Quince Imaging’s Creative, Systems Integration, and Live Events teams by helping develop technical and creative solutions for clients across professional and collegiate sports, live events, branded experiences, immersive installations, projection mapping, LED displays, media server workflows, and experiential technologies.

This position is designed for growth, with training provided. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn new tools, workflows, and technical systems quickly. Strong communication and collaboration skills are highly valued.

The role is based at Quince Imaging’s Sterling, VA headquarters. Some remote work may be possible depending on project needs, but travel is required for events, installations, and productions. Travel may range from a few days to several weeks, including occasional international travel. Candidates should also be comfortable working long hours and flexible schedules during live events and project deployments.

What You’ll Do:
• Program, configure, and operate media server technology for live events and installations
• Support system design, planning, testing, and documentation
• Assist Creative, Systems Integration, and Live Events teams with technical and production needs
• Support early-stage system design and client-facing technical concepts
• Assist with creative concepting, storyboarding, and visual development
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept demos
• Prepare technical drawings, system diagrams, cueing documentation, and handoff materials
• Manage, test, and maintain creative technology equipment
• Support installation, programming, troubleshooting, and on-site operations
• Research emerging technologies including AI, immersive media, and real-time engines
• Contribute to internal R&D and process improvements
• Support additional departments and project teams as needed

What We’re Looking For:
• 1–3 years of experience in creative technology, live events, AV production, motion graphics, experiential design, or related fields
• Recent graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply
• Strong interest in combining creative thinking with technical execution
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt between creative, technical, and production tasks
• Comfortable working in deadline-driven and high-pressure environments
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator
• Experience with at least one media server platform such as Disguise, Pixera, WATCHOUT, or Resolume
• Ability to quickly learn new software and workflows
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Portfolio, reel, website, GitHub, or project samples are encouraged

Nice to Have:
• Advanced experience with media server technology
• Experience with live event production, broadcast, AV systems, or technical theater
• Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, TouchDesigner, Ventuz, or Notch
• Creative coding experience using JavaScript, Python, C#, Processing, p5.js, or GLSL
• 3D workflow experience using Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or Unreal Engine
• Projection mapping and immersive display experience
• Experience with LED video walls and large-format display systems
• Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows
• Understanding of AV networking, signal flow, and show control
• Previous experience operating graphics, media servers, E2, switchers, or playback systems
• Project management and cross-team coordination skills
• Experience with sensors, cameras, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or interactive hardware
• Familiarity with sports venue production and fan engagement environments
