Quince Imaging transformed the Dallas Stars playoff pregame with immersive projection mapping show

Dallas Stars Playoff Projection Mapping Show at American Airlines Center

To amplify the energy of playoff hockey, Quince Imaging partnered with the Dallas Stars to deliver an immersive rink projection mapping experience for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs at American Airlines Center. Designed to energize fans and elevate the in-arena atmosphere, the pregame presentation transformed the ice into a dynamic storytelling surface moments before puck drop.

Working closely with the Dallas Stars production team, Quince helped create a high-impact visual experience that synchronized projection mapping with lighting, audio, and team introductions. The show guided fans from the anthem through player intros, building momentum and intensifying the playoff atmosphere throughout the arena.

The production utilized high-brightness Christie RGB laser projection systems, advanced Disguise media servers, and real-time playback technology to deliver seamless visuals across the ice surface. Camera-based alignment and calibration tools allowed for fast, accurate mapping, while integrated show control systems ensured precise synchronization with arena lighting, music, and live presentation cues.

As ice hockey projection mapping technology becomes more accessible for professional sports venues, rink projection has evolved into a defining component of modern game presentation. Built for both live audiences and broadcast viewers, the Dallas Stars playoff presentation showcased how immersive technology continues to raise the standard for fan engagement and pregame storytelling in the NHL.
