NJ Devils Projection System – 8 Seasons Later

The NHL's first permanently installed projection system is still going strong

Prudential Center – Home of the New Jersey Devils

2014 was a landmark year for both the New Jersey Devils and Quince Imaging, as the pair collaborated on the NHL’s first permanent projection mapping installation. Eight years later, the system has been wowing fans for pregame, halftime, post-show, and celebratory occasions at every home game.

Projection mapping technology has advanced by leaps and bounds in the past eight years, but brightness is always in style.  Quince Imaging has always been a leader, installing the brightest projection systems on the market, and the Prudential Center proves that the brightest systems have the longest lifespan.  Since 2014, Quince Imaging has permanently installed 14 projection mapping systems in professional and collegiate venues.

The key differentiator between Quince Imaging and other projection system installers is quality and attention to detail. First, Quince ensures the best and brightest technology while offering scalable options. In the case of the New Jersey Devils, the design was based on an array of twelve Barco HDF 26k projectors – the brightest available at the time. The second factor in the longevity of the Prudential Center’s installation is the quality assurance program, “Quince Cares”, included with the system’s purchase.  Regular maintenance has kept the system at peak brightness, despite thousands of hours of airtime.  In spite of the premium price of high brightness projection equipment, the extended life of the system provides a superior return on investment.

We are pleased to see the New Jersey Devils continually provide progressive fan engagement.  As long-time partner, Quince is proud to have installed and maintained the longest running projection system in the NHL for the Devils and their fans.
