Ron
Currier: Partner & President
Ron got
his start in the industry while serving as an NCO in the US
Air Force. Some of his early projects as a projectionist were
Muhammad Ali prize fights, medical television such as Dr.
Debakey’s open heart surgery close circuit training
events, and the introduction of “Breakfast at McDonalds”.
He was fascinated with these events and quickly decided he’d
found what he wanted to do when he grew up.
Following discharge
after 8 years of active service, Ron relocated to New York
City. Here he helped develop projects as diverse as Papal
Coronation Ceremonies, World Cup Soccer, and large networks
of 100 cities and more for Presidential Inaugural Gala’s.
Ron’s responsibilities grew to encompass all facets
of event staging services.
After 12 years
in the Big Apple, Ron decided it was time to strike out on
his own. He then moved to Dallas, founded Currier Imaging,
married and began a family. In 1997 Ron teamed with Scott
Williams, a long time friend, colleague and customer, to found
Quince Imaging.
Ron continues to
revel in an industry that affords him the opportunity to meet
and work with such leaders in their fields as Pope John Paul
II, Mother Theresa, Ayn Rand, six Presidents, Sam Walton,
Marlon Perkins, Elvis, Frank, and Mick,.
Ron, his
wife Carol, and their daughter Charlotte still live in Dallas
centering their lives on family, friends and colleagues, high
character and strong values. Ron actively pursues extracurricular
interests such as the support of girl scouts, motorcycling,
and philately (stamp collecting).
