Well, that is an interesting question. Finding “how to” information regarding projection is an involved process. In my decades of experience, I have yet to find a textbook or training seminar that is thorough, accurate, informative and applicable to today’s technology. One of the GREAT SECRETS of our industry is that there is no easy way to develop the skills and expertise to be consistently successful at projecting imagery in a wide variety of applications. The collective Quince Imaging knowledge has been gained through extensive experimentation, experience and study of what actually occurs between projection system and viewer.

With the emergence of a new market segment of projection image mapping, there are more and more seminars and lectures (LDI, InfoComm, NAB) that review the use of projection in these unique environments from a wide variety of perspectives. Based on where your interests lie, one of these industry gatherings would be a great resource to begin your knowledge quest. Quince Imaging also hosts a variety of demo and training events for their clients, vendors and industry colleagues. Check their website and social media pages regularly to catch the announcements for any upcoming events they may be hosting in the future.
